Cyclin D1: A Golden Gene in Cancer, Cardiotoxicity, and Cardioprotection

چکیده
Objective: Cyclin D1 is an essential protein that acts as a mitogenic sensor. In this manuscript, we discuss the importance of cyclin in oncology and cardio-oncology, challenge prognostic therapeutic response values to figure out if it can be beneficial marker. We also agents microRNAs used potential approach via regulating expression cardio-oncology. Discussion: Clinical significance defined not only several cancers such breast cancer, melanoma, glioblastoma but cardiomyocyte regeneration cardiac hypertrophic growth. Several studies have indicated injection cardiotoxic doxorubicin (DOX) induces damage system increases D at single injection, which might related DXO-mediated adult heart. However, overexpression leads growth cardiomyocytes, cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK)) inhibitors p16 do inhibit cardiomyocytes. Thus, reaction CDK-independent. Conclusions: positively correlated with tumor progression, treatment response, cardiotoxicity, poor prognosis. has important role hypertrophy, promising marker monitoring responses, cardioprotection, cardiotoxicity. Finally, plays cardiomyocytes novel mechanism. Given all these pieces evidence, introduced favorable biomarker future cardiology

Cardiotoxicity and cardioprotection in childhood cancer.
Children diagnosed with cancer are now living longer as a result of advances in treatment. However, some commonly used anticancer drugs, although effective in curing cancer, can also cause adverse late effects. The cardiotoxic effects of anthracycline chemotherapy, such as doxorubicin, and radiation can cause persistent and progressive cardiovascular damage, emphasizing a need for effective pre...
متن کاملRelationship between cyclin D1 (A870G) gene polymorphism and lung cancer.
The roles of many genes in the pathophysiology of lung cancer have been investigated in different studies. Cyclin D1 (CCND1) gene plays a significant role in the transition from G1 to S phase of the cell cycle and in the phosphorylation of retinoblastoma tumor suppressor protein. In this study, we aimed to identify the relationship between CCND1 A870G gene polymorphism with lung cancer. CCND1 A...
متن کاملCyclin-D1 protooncogen expression in prostate cancer
Cyclin D1, a cell cycle regulator essential for G1 phase progression, has been implicated in the pathogenesis of certain cancers. High levels of these proteins have been reported in certain human malignancies and have been implicated in aberrant cell division and dysregulated tumor growth. In this study, 30 prostate cancer and 25 benign prostate tissues were studied for cyclin D1 expression usi...
متن کاملAberrant expression of cyclin D1 in cancer.
Cyclin D1 binds and activates cyclin-dependent kinases 4/6 (Cdk4/6) to phosphorylate the retinoblastoma (RB) family proteins, relieving E2F/DPs from the negative restraint of RB proteins and histone deacetylases. The cyclin D-Cdk4/6 complexes activate cyclin E/Cdk2 through titration of the Cdk inhibitors p21Cip1/p27Kip1. Cyclin E/Cdk2 further phosphorylates RBs, thereby activating E2F/DPs, and ...
متن کاملOverexpression of cyclin D1 enhances gene amplification.
Defects in cell cycle control and increased genomic instability, including gene amplification, often occur during cancer development. Cyclin D1 plays a pivotal role in G1, and this gene is frequently amplified and overexpressed in several types of human cancer. This study demonstrates that ectopic overexpression of cyclin D1 in a rat liver epithelial cell line markedly increased the yield of ce...
